Conference Scope :

Navigation is the art and science of reaching a destination by moving along a predefined trajectory. However, there must be room to adapt for special circumstances, when the predefined trajectory is no longer optimal. And it becomes essential when the environment is partly unknown and when there is no one on board! During this conference, the latest progress of navigation technologies associated with robotics will be presented. The scope of applications is growing rapidly and many professional communities are trying to get the best out of both worlds. Hopefully this will be an opportunity for reaping mutual benefits from sharing experiences in different contexts.

Abstract: With the miniaturisation of computing resources, it is now possible to embed smarter navigation algorithms using more complex sensors on various mobile robotics platforms. Recent challenges raised by embedded autonomous navigation will be presented, as well as application domains in which these technologies can be deployed.
